PBAT modification

Modified Polybutylene Adipate‑Terephthalate (PBAT)

Characteristics of modified‑PBAT: PBAT boasts excellent flexibility and film‑forming performance, while its strength needs further improvement. It is commonly blend‑modified with PLA, starch and other substances to balance rigidity and toughness, as well as optimize processability and degradation rate. Filling modification with calcium carbonate, talcum powder or fiber reinforcement with plant fibers can enhance mechanical strength and reduce raw‑material costs.

Main Applications

As one of the most widely‑used degradable plastics on the current market, PBAT is mainly processed into various film‑bag products, including shopping bags, garbage bags, express‑delivery bags, cling films and agricultural mulch films. Blended with PLA, it is also made into packaging articles such as tableware, cosmetic cases and medicine boxes.

Properties: degradation‑modified Physical properties: customizable per customer requirements (partial performances can match imported brands).

MOQ: 1 ton upon successful sample testing.
